Opposition

I am a chameleon, a man of many skins.
Divided by the things I've done, my life of many sins.
There is one of me that is hungry, and one of me that can't win.
One of me is so angry, that I can't bear to let him in.

Waking in the morning, keeps me on my toes.
Who I am in the afternoon, God himself is the one who knows.
My God is within me, and my God is without me.
I fight to find the God in me, the one who is devout to me.

But even Jesus had his Judas,
And even Adam had his Eve.
Yeah even Achilles had his famous heel,
Opposition in all things.
There's opposition in my needs.

I am many people, splintered by my history.
How I came to what I am, is my great mystery.
There is one clue in my upbringing, and one in the things I've done.
When a man has seen the things I've seen, he's bound to come undone.

I know many strangers, I don't know what that shows.
It's hope I've found around myself, and hope is what I know.
My fight is within me, and my help is without me.
I fight to keep the fight in me. The one that's all about me.

Oh even Jesus had his Judas,
And even Adam had his Eve.
So even Achilles had his famous heel,
Opposition in all things.
There's opposition in my needs.

Oh even Jesus had his Judas,
And even Adam had his Eve.
So even Achilles had his famous heel,
Opposition in all things.
There's opposition in my needs.
